I thought for a long time, in this suspended time, how I could start again in my work, made of passion and commitment that lasts for a long time now. I wondered what I could propose new, original, to people I know, like you, and to those who I imagine eager to resume the journey of the usual things: celebrate a birthday, a baptism, or a degree, participate in a wedding. As well as, simply, making festive any of our days, often so tiring, finally taking care of ourselves, of our face, of our hands, of our body, and feel how important it is to bring it into harmony with our mind to feel good about ourselves. What product could I create, I said, to be able to accompany those moments of our life that for a reason that intimately belongs to us end up tying together the silk threads of our memory of living, and preserving them in a memory. Such a product must have something personal, exclusive, original in its creativity. This is the puzzle that I have long struggled over. Then the idea suggested to me, once again, the oil. Oil is perhaps that, of the many products of the earth, which has been there for millennia to tell us how the best way to be original is in respect of its naturalness. This is enough to make it simply unique. That is, after all, what I learned from my grandparents, from my parents and that I will never stop practicing faithfully in the mill of my company. I decided to create them with the same craftsmanship that oil always requires, so normal in agriculture, but so rare in cosmetics. In a small bottle, which I want to call parfum de huile because so much recalls the perfume bottle, along with all this will also hover the echo of a word. It comes from across the Earth, and it’s a Maori word: Hau. In that culture, so distant from ours, it indicates how in every thing, in every object, the spirit of those who created it is inherent and then gave it to others. There is perhaps no better word to say the meaning of what prompted me to think, and then to realize, this line of products that today finally, with so much pleasure, just happy to introduce you.
